The Solheim Cup is a biennial women’s golf competition between European and United States teams. The 2024 edition is scheduled for September 10-15 in Gainesville, Virginia. This year marks the competition’s shift to even years, resulting in two Solheim Cups within a few months—the previous one was held in 2023. This adjustment aligns with the Ryder Cup’s schedule and enhances the global golfing calendar.

Players are selected for the Solheim Cup through a points-based system and world rankings. For the U.S. team, points start accumulating from the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions in 2023. The top seven players in the U.S. Solheim Cup standings automatically qualify, along with the top two players from the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings who aren’t already qualified. The remaining three spots are captain’s picks, allowing flexibility to form the best possible team.

The European team operate a similar selection process. Here are the confirmed golfers for the European team for this year’s tournament.
